From Computers to Comics
I first took an interest in computers because they promised to make design and writing easier. In the process, I wound up with a career in computer systems. I do enjoy making systems work better for people, but found I more enjoyed coaching people on how to use them better. As expression brewed with technology in my thoughts, the seeds of stories began germinating in this increasingly fertile ground.
Once I figured out the art of building a story, I found I had to write and draw the ideas coming to me. After scores of notes on my iPhone, four story drafts over 16,000 words, and two rejection letters, I realize that although I can put together a narrative, now I need to learn how to build a good story. Given that our union is on a dramatic curve in 2025, I find myself drawn to satirical tales though cartooning. Follow along as I refine my tale telling in the comics I publish here on UnionCurve.com.
